I thought I'd post a "patriotic" card today in honor of Beate John's family. After reading her blog post (with a The Saltbox Studio card at that) I just had to. I pray for all our loved ones serving and fighting for our freedom, fighting for us. May God's will for each of them shine. amen.
This card is by Mary Rose. She really captured the look of The Saltbox Studio line. I love Americana, so, this one is right up my alley. Mary Rose has been visiting her Mom this week. She mentioned she would be back soon (somewhere around today). I really spaced on this one--Yesterday I tried calling her and was getting all excited she'd be returning--then the phone message said: "This number is no longer in service. Please check...." Yep. I was thinking she was coming home. Here. Considering she moved a month ago to Indianapolis I suppose it shows the denial I am going through. I can't call it a Senior moment yet!
Crow bird: Tweets set

Homespun: Companion set
Our "Peek of the Week" was sent out this am. If you get it twice please email us. Our mailing program may have "doubled up" with so many addresses. It divided the "send" into 5 mailings.
Our contest continues. Check Friday's post for details. I'll have more tidbits for you later today. Right now this flu has me too tired.
The card today is by Mary Rose. I love this card because it showcases the opposite of the simple and clean look I have been showing you this week.--it shows the Vintage, primitive look our stamps can create as well. The candle set is just perfect for all the candle home party gals--what a great way to create invites or thank yous.
Next week you will see a bit more of my art style. If you go to our web site www.thesaltboxstudio.com and click on Studio page you will see how I "color". As time goes by you'll see more of my "signature" look. I haven't even made a card yet! I just draw, draw, draw.
I am SOOOO thankful for the gift of Inspiration from God. God also gave me the ability to draw those ideas to give others joy. I am blessed that I can just sit down with pencil in hand and He just works through me.
Hope the weekend brings you rest and peace. Beth
