Off to Alabama

I am leaving tomorrow with my oldest son, Peter to visit a couple colleges in Alabama.  Thankfully, Peter knows what he wants to do.  A rarity at 17.  It sure helped narrow down the colleges.

I will try to post from my iphone if I get some good photos of the beach/water, and the USS Alabama. 

When I get back I will start showing y'all samples of the next release.  The Hen and Chicks are just too perfect for this time of year.  (Americana coming too).  Mary Rose summed up the Hen and Chicks images perfectly.  "I never get sick of looking at them."  The Design Team really went over the top this time--The way they showed how so many things can be done with  these few images and mixing them with images from baskets, fences, birdhouses... is just awesome. 

Just wait til' Farm Friends comes along....

HAPPY 7th ANNIVERSARY TO A MUSE!

I did not realize until I visited Linda's blog today A Muse is seven years old!  You mus go check out www.amusenews.typepad.com.  There are all sorts of designer links honoring the 7th birthday/anniversary too--you won't want to miss them.

Kelly's colors

I really like Kelly's color combinations.  One of her gifts is to use the colors in the right intensity together.  This card is a great example of that.  She uses the brighter yellow card with the soft blues "just right".

This card by Jen is so calming isn't it?  I really like the suddle palette-- 

My surprise is you'll get to see some very early peeks of our Hens and Chicks set and some of our next release sets.  Not just bits of a drawing, but the whole thing.    Rather than having to wait to do the whole sneek peek thing 5 days early,  and  because so many of you have inquired about these sets, I am just going to let y'all see what's ahead so you can really plan your purchases.   

Due to my health, I will most likely need to delay a few of the release sets simply because being such a small company  and so far away from all my DT members.

I will have Hens and Chicks available at the beginning of June.  The others I will keep you posted on.

Crazy, crazy, crazy

Here in St. Louis, our school year ends next week.  The past 2 weeks have just been crazy with the end of year things.  Having high schoolers, the last week is much calmer because it's all about finals. Nothing I am involved in--  So, hopefully, I can get to posting a bit more again.

I've chosen this card today because of a few things.  1.The "wire" Becky drew to hang the house 2.  The pink bird (is there such a thing?) 3.  The colors 4.  The simplicity and 5.  How she straightened the branch out.  That is what is so nice about clear stamps--so much more flexibility.

Congrats to our DT member Lexi Daly  for being the published queen of late.  I can't wait to see what she submits with Saltbox stamps-
