A MUSE is the BEST

  • AMUSE: COULDN'T DO THIS WITHOUT THEM
Yay! I can finally mention who is our exclusive distributor. A Muse Art Stamps, of course. Chosen for their excellent customer service and first and foremost the gals are just so kind and helpful. Oh, and their products are always top notch too--The note cards and embellishments are so versatile. They can be use with The Saltbox Studio art in "A Muse Style" or in a more vintage "shabby" style for a whole different look. THANK YOU, LINDA

Have a lovely evening.

Flower basket day 4

Elenajpg

Hello all.  I missed yesterday's flower basket post--I was on a field trip with my sons' and their AFJROTC Unit- They have a sister school in the city.  This time the kids were running a "fair" type day and delivering over 1200 books they collected for the school's library.  We had an hour to kill between stops, so, we went to the zoo.  Every animal was out.  The Prairie Dogs were just so darn cute.  Very Busy, busy, busy.  I will post some pictures this weekend. I am in heaven at the zoo. Except the Alligators or Crocodiles. My worse death would be to fall into a swamp...

This simple and clean card is created by Elena.  She always has such a cleanliness to her designs.

Here's a third flower basket card by none other than Kelly.  I am loving the Summer color palette.

Have a great evening-

flower basket

Spring_greetings

Sometimes it's nice to have an image to just use as is.  I am finding the more I "color" the more I like to just be able to use the image on it's own.  Speed is often the reason as well.  Our May release will have what I consider self standing images.  I try to integrate them in the SBS line so there is something for those who like to "build", and for those who like to just stamp and color...
Our April release has both building type sets and a few images that stand alone.

Lexi assigned our DT the flower basket to be the only image in a card.  You saw Lexi's with the basket and her Sunflower creation in a previous post.  Today I have posted Becky's.  Enjoy!

Hostess with the mostest

Ldhostesscandles_2

The color combination of the candle trio truly gives a fresh, spring feel.  The sentiment is a great one because not only can it be a thank you note for various hosted events, it can also work great for any home party hostess.  (especially candles!)

I think I'll go for a walk outside now...

If you can tell me what song the title(lyrics) of my post is from I will send you one new set from our April release.  If more than one person gets it, then I will put everyone n a random number generator.  You can leave a comment, or if you aresure you know the answer you can email me.

The card today made me think of the song and I have been humming along...

Almost time and Club excitement

Peek9

It's almost time for our April release previews.  I thought I'd post another smidge quite appropriate for this weekend.  Also,  with each release will be a list of what's coming in the next release (titles only)  this will give each of you a bit of a heads up for what is to come and not quite such a "secret".

Our Club is finalized and Lexi Daly will be contacting those who have signed up *very* soon.  I will have a download of the membership how to and rewards posted on the web site and blog as well as a place to sign up, the middle of next week.  For those of you who have signed up, if you want to go through the process online that is fine, but, Lexi will be in contact with you no matter.

If you would like to sign up for the club prior to next week, please just send an email and let me know.  Be sure to add a phone number where we can touch base with you for confirmation.

We decided to add one quite awesome addition to being part of the club.  It is an exclusive stamp that ONLY club members  receive with each release.  Whenever there is a release and a club shipment you'll receive the  Limited Edition stamp for the release as well.

Light

Ldbluemousecandlepost

I really like the way this card  has the light glowing around the bulb.  I am out of "The Lord is my Shepherd" sheep cards at the moment.  Since today is Good Friday, I wanted a sheep for the Lamb of God.  Instead I am posting a card with light,  as Jesus is the Light of the world.  A somber night tonight, but, a joyous day ahead, and not because of bunnies and peeps.

Tutorial Video Style

I decided to do this tutorial in video format so you could really see the laying down or painting of the color.    The video is Intentionally blurry to keep your eye from getting distracted by the image.  It also has music to it.  So, if you don't go for the music video--make sure you hit the mute button.

I will post a photo of the finished piece. (It looks much like Tuesday's post).

Tutorial

Simple_4

Well, I really goofed.  I was working on part two of the tutorial and forgot to photograph the other parts.  So, I now have to do another.  In the meantime, I have posted a very simple, yet elegant way to use markers.  I think you might find it quite handy for a quick card.  Although it's a snowman and I just can't bare to think of winter again, I decided to post it because it gives you a example of using light colored markers for outlining and a touch of fill. There is an outline around the outside of the snowman using Brick white.  The photo does not show it so well.  Check out an earlier post here of the colors I use for this look.
